Was notified that our work for Pilot Pens and Maaco won the O'Toole Award for Portfolio School (VCU Brandcenter). Not only did Brandcenter win, McKinney also won for its work on the Urban Ministries of Durham. See the Winners Gallery at The O'Toole Awards.

06.11.09 / Back to McKinney as Art Director
I will be rejoining McKinney in early July as an Art Director. I interned there last summer and had an amazing experience. I'm looking forward to it and living in the Raleigh/Durham area.

05.29.09 / CLIO Awards Shortlisted
Received news that our entry for Pilot Precise Pens “Maze” was in fact shortlisted for CLIOs. Some interesting work won this year. Check out the results at www.clioawards.com.

05.16.09 / Brandcenter Graduation
We finally received our Master’s diploma marking our official completion of the VCU Brandcenter experience. It was noted in the graduation ceremony that this class was the closest ever. We will miss everyone but look forward to staying in contact in our new endeavors.

05.13.09 / Google + Peace One Day
Our work for Peace One Day (to organize the world’s largest blood drive initiative on college and university campuses) was the winning idea and will go forward. Our team presents to Jeremy Gilley, founder of Peace One Day.

04.03.09 / Richmond Show Gold
Our campaign for Pilot Precise Pens won a Gold Cannonball at Richmond Show. This award show recognizes the best local talent in the community.

12.05.08 / CMYK Magazine #42
Our non-traditional work for Maaco, the auto paint and repair service, was chosen for publication in CMYK #42. Issue is available in major booksellers everywhere.

08.10.08 / McKinney Internship Ends
My internship at McKinney in Durham, NC, ended this week. I’m thankful for the experience and the wonderful people I got to know. Work included Virgin Atlantic, NASDAQ, Qwest, and Travelocity.

07.02.08 / Future Lions – Cannes Int’l Advertising Festival
Won the Future Lions competition for the Boblbe-e Trek-Tracker work.
